Actress
In 2023 I worked at the TNC (National Theatre of Catalonia) in the show De Nao Albet and Marcel Borràs. I have also worked with directors such as Marc Martínez, Calixte Bieito and with the Fura dels Baus.
During the seventeen years at the Projecte Vaca Association, I was part of the cast of shows, performances and dramatized readings, among which I highlight:
To develop Inventari d’objectes perduts i altres into a show I created my company in 2008. Cia Gemma Julià , La Prodigiosa, in which I have starred in three shows: Les claus a la mà, Equilibris and Inventari d’objectes perduts i altres. Sagarra wrote a review of the show Fosc de LLuna by Aleix Puiggalí: “The actresses are very good. Gemma Julià, the prostitute, is that brave girl, of whom Ortega wrote; a beautiful woman, with a tragic face, who steps on the stage decisevly.”
This was followed by other shows such as Catherine Anne’s Esclats and Més enllà de l’oceà. (One-act plays by American authors). For the latter, I was given the BEST ACTRESS AWARD at the Mostra de Teatre Breu in Barcelona.
And now many years have passed…more than thirty years practicing the craft!
